Jocasta Classical Reception Greece has the pleasure to host a discussion with Panagiotis Evangelidis and Konstantinos Kyriakos, which will be held on May 25th, 2017 in the frame of the Course Reception of Ancient Greek Drama. The discussion will focus on the queer shades in the reception of ancient Greek myth in post-war Greek theatre and cinema.

Panagiotis Evangelidis is a scriptwriter, director, author and translator. He is known for the films Xenia (2014), Strella (2009) – both directed by and co-scripted with Panos Koutras – and They Glow in the Dark (2013). He translates literature mainly from Japanese. His latest novel, Άρρωστος σε ταξίδι, appeared in 2016.

Konstantinos Kyriakos is Associate Professor of Theatre and Film Studies at the Department of Theatre Studies, University of Patras. He has written books and published articles on a variety of subjects in his area of expertise. He has participated in numerous international conferences.
